Yunta Nikkei
This wonderful restaurant is a fusion two ancient cultures – Japanese and Peruvian. And mixing things up never tasted so good! Their website details an interesting historical rationale for why the two cultures came to be fused together into the “Nikkei” style of cooking. There’s so much on their menu that it’s hard to choose what to order. This place has a cool “industrial, modern vibe” that makes you feel that you’re in the grooviest place to hang out in South End. In fact, their so cool that they have a DJ perform on weekend nights! They feature small bites, ceviche, soups and top-notch sushi. But check out items from the grill or from the wok – I highly recommend the Arroz Chaufa…. It’s their fried rice which includes both chicken and pork! They even obliged my request to add shrimp to it, and it was probably hands-down the tastiest fried rice I’ve ever eaten! They are one of the few Asian restaurants that offers brunch… and it’s a take on brunch that you are not expecting! But of course, you can visit this place any time of the day and you’ll be very pleased!
