Uptown Yolk
Ironically not in Uptown, but this is a classy brunch spot in South End instead. This restaurant is a cute space and is owned by the same husband-wife team that owns 3rd & Fernwood. They are really special because they offer brunch rather late, until 5pm, on Saturdays and Sundays. You will find their shrimp & grits, mojo steak hash, and a sweet potato waffle. They even have a French toast called Daubenspeck (color yourself intrigued!) They have several “breakfast classic” entrees, as well as breakfast sandwiches called “Yolkwiches”. They have some of the best grits I’ve had in town and be sure to try a sweet potato biscuit! They have a beautifully designed dining area and they are one of the few brunch-centered restaurants I know that will take reservations! So that’s a huge plus!
