Trolley Barn

$2.00

This marvelous place is part restaurant and part brewery. And they do both really well. You will be captivated with the look of this venue on the inside… (and the outside too). It has a fancy brown-wood motif inside with super high ceilings – high enough that part of the restaurant is divided into a second level where you can dine and simultaneously look out at all the energy that’s going on among the other patrons of the restaurant. You can also see the gleaming silver fermenting tanks, from which they pour their own brand of beer and serve it directly to your glass. They have an outside dining patio too. Trolley Barn is located within the Atherton Mill development of the South End neighborhood. It is one of the four Legion Brewing locations, but it has its own unique name because of the unique experience there. Brunch is served on the weekends, where you can try “pork belly & (chili-cheese) grits” or various brunch bowls. It quickly became one of my favorite restaurants in town because of the vibe and because of the stellar food. Some of their unique dinner menu items are a “chorizo & shrimp quesadilla”, duck-fat chicken wings, a bbq platter, and brisket fried rice. They have a bunch of awesome sandwiches, salads, bowls, and sides too. I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention they have three items called “tins”, which are seafood-based and too complex for me to describe here. You’ll have to try them for yourself. Also, I admire them tremendously because they have separate vegetarian and gluten-free menus for brunch, lunch, and dinner! This place has a lot of delicious food choices, and alcohol choices, so this is a trolley you should definitely jump aboard!
