Reid’s Fine Foods
Reid’s has four locations in Charlotte. However, their flagship location is the only one with a full-service dining room, which makes it the most impressive of the bunch. It is located adjacent to South Park Mall. They offer breakfast, lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch. The dinner options are amazing… including rigatoni Bolognese, salmon, scallops, and several tasty sides. The small plates and sandwiches are exceptional, with my favorites being the steakburger (one of the best burgers I’ve had in Charlotte), and the chicken spiedie for which you can kind of make your own sandwich by individually choosing your toppings. They have several delicious entrees as well, such as the pan roasted salmon, scallops, and steak frites! All of the locations feature a beautiful fresh market featuring a wealth of both pre-packaged and fresh foods for purchase and take-out. I tried several options such as the chicken tenders, teriyaki-glazed salmon, and angel hair flan. The Selwyn Ave. location has a small bar-like area that serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, and wine in a small café-style environment, as well as a special “Tuesday dinner” which includes a few more options. The two Uptown locations serve breakfast and lunch only.
