This oh-my-gosh awesome restaurant is another local favorite and one of my favorites as well. Their website recalls their origin story as when “two culinary connoisseurs in the Carolinas came together to explore the endless bounds of BBQ styles from around the world.” But they also serve fun comfort foods such as “Improper Nachos”, grilled pimento cheese sandwiches, and twice-baked jalapenos. They feature several proteins from the sea as well including ahi tuna, salmon, and mahi mahi. Their sides are super satisfying too…. All the savory sides you’d expect from a bbq place such as yummy mac & cheese, collard greens, and even jalapeno cheese grits. Be sure to cap your meal off with a hefty dessert such as cobbler or banana pudding. If you’re in the mood for some Southern flavor, nothing will fill you up more than a mouth-watering meal at this place. They have another location in nearby Fort Mill, SC and they will soon open another one in the quickly-gentrifying Plaza Midwood neighborhood.
