Hawkers Asian Street Food

$2.00

I thought this was a place that originated in Charlotte because it is located near Hawkins St. in South End… and then I realized that Hawker and Hawkins are not the same name… and I also saw on their website that they have at least ten locations in various cities. Despite this being a big ol’ non-local chain, I had to include it here because of the scrumptiousness of their food. I’ve tried several dishes here and I have to praise them for their well-developed flavors in every dish. In fact, even they describe their flavors as “bold and unapologetic”. They specialize in Asian street food, which is always delicious and fascinating to sample. Their pan-Asian specialties include Korean Twice-Fried Wings, Bibimbap, Pad Thai, fried rice and lo mein dishes, as well as noodle soups, and bao buns. So much to try here!
