Dos Caminos
The odd thing about this Mexican restaurant – in a good way – is they have five locations and all of them are in New York City or New Jersey, except for the one in Charlotte. I guess this location is the “Hawaii” of this Mexican chain. I’m sure there’s some reason they decided to post up way out here as well, but unfortunately I haven’t learned what that is. At any rate, they serve excellent versions of the typical Mexican fare, i.e. tacos, quesadillas, enchiladas, and burritos. But they also offer “especiales de la casa”, or house specialties, such as skirt steak, salmon, and short ribs, which are all very well crafted. For an elevated Mexican culinary experience in Uptown, stroll on up this cool spot.
