This bright cheery restaurant with huge windows and lots of light and color is an enjoyable new restaurant on the Charlotte scene (as of January 2025). This is a chain, but it’s definitely worth including here. As you can tell by the name, they specialize in biscuits… delicious buttermilk beautifully-textured biscuits. You order at the counter, but thank goodness they provide menus at the start of the line because it will take you a good ten minutes to decide what you want from the many options. Do you want your biscuit with fried chicken breast, or sausage gravy -- or even better yet mushroom gravy -- or brisket, or turkey, and/or egg (any style), or plain, or vegetarian! And then there’s amazing home fries, grits, pancakes, and waffles. And if you join their loyalty program, you get a free basket of cinnamon sugar-sprinkled donuts (or “bonuts”)! One of the best aspects is that you don’t have to wait for them to seat you because they have open seating in their fairly large dining room. The drawback is that the line can be long (although it moves decently fast). And parking can be challenging with all the other businesses in the same shopping center. But those are small prices to pay when the food is so darn good! It’s at the top of my list for breakfast/brunch places in Charlotte!
